What is a Thigh/Buttock Lift?
A thigh lift removes excess skin from the thigh and buttock area. This excess sagging skin is usually caused by weight loss.
The Surgical Procedure
The inner thigh lifts are done with incisions over the inner thigh, hidden in the groin crease. Outer thigh and buttock lifts are done with incisions extending from the groin around the back. These are well hidden by bathing suit or underwear. All of the scars fade with time.
The exact cost varies depending on the extent of this procedure. The surgery package price includes the surgeon's fee, the anesthesiologist's fee, the hospital and operating room expenses. This can range from $6000 to $8000.
What to Expect After Surgery
Patients usually spend the first night in the hospital. Bruising and swelling are to be expected as well as a “tight” feeling in the thighs. Bed rest and elevation of the lower extremities facilitate healing.
